….Come to join us and explore the Way of the Heart together.
We have come to understand is that this 'Way', this journey is primarily about allowing the magic into our lives that will to lift us from a world of 'striving' into the spaciousness of 'giving'.
Many spiritual teachers will say that our only purpose in this life is to be of service, a concept that was for me never even considered until one day a man asked me, "When are you going to give back?" And that started a train of circumstances and actions that has led to a wonderful life for us both that is now devoted to being of service - using all the skills and talents gained in our collective years of experience.
Over the years many friends have joined with us to add to our efforts - funding individual projects, the cost of the Journal, the website, the editorial contributions, and more recently by supporting our charity educational activities in Bali and now with LIVING VALUES in Australia.
Sometimes people look at the Journal, this website and the Way of the Heart, Elohim activity and think that there is an 'empire' at play. Not so, there are in truth just Suzanne and I and in the office, one other - currently Wini. And if it wasn't for the support of Holy Spirit, it could be quite lonely!
To give you an idea of the team effort…
We have no outside funding and depend on our own resources to maintain the business and to provide service and a loving community spirit to everyone in need of a friendly word, someone to listen to their experience.
David Andor, our webmaster is contracted to manage, as you see, this major website which is continuously being extended with new aspects and together he and I handle the maintenance required to keep it current with the ongoing calendar of activities.
Suzanne and I handle the creation of the tour programs and we travel extensively annually escorting each international tour or pilgrimage so that that all goes according to plan to ensure that we provide the experience that ensures growth of the participants.
Wini, our office manager takes care of the accounts and billing and ensuring that funds are protected until time of travel and then payment of all the costs relating to the tours.
Suzanne manages our USA prison inmate program, communicating regularly with a large number of inmates - many 'lifers' who have come to depend very much on their connection to the 'Way of' philosophy, teachings and perhaps most importantly, the personal heart space which she offers to each of them.
The monthly online Journal, "Way of the Heart" is our joint interest and responsibility with the support of Marissa Tilden, our contracted graphics lady here on the Gold Coast who type sets the articles and gets the publication ready for David, our webmaster to upload to the library.
On behalf of other teachers with whom we have a close relationship and who we trust we retail books, CDs, DVDs, Online programs, etc., that extend the perspective of Christ Consciousness.
Together, we have undertaken responsibility for the continued development and expansion of the Indonesian "Reducing poverty through Education" project, the activities of the Karuna Bali Foundation. This service program requires us to secure ongoing funding for the new projects and keeping the Campuhan College educational activities in place. Here in Australia, Suzanne and I have become the Australian National Coordinators for the UNESCO supported LIVING VALUES EDUCATION - a program already established in 80 countries. As such our role and desire is to extend the twelve key humanitarian Values across the spectrum of the community to bring peace and harmony to family, schools, business, relationship and to self. We are now building a facilitator network around Australia. (see - www.livingvalues.com.au)
We have a policy which we have adhered to since we began and which we believe has been one of the contributing factors for our remaining viable through thick and thin and that is our refusal to go into debt or to use overdraft funding of any nature to prop up our creations.
