Hello dear friends,

It's been a while since I wrote to you through the Journal, so when the opportunity came to share where Jason and I are at and all of the miracles that have been unfolding for us I said yes!

The last year has been a whirlwind of Spirit-inspired travels, retreats and projects, which have been a glorious backdrop for deepening in our mind training and our relationship with God.

Last September, Jason and I were invited to Argentina by a friend who had stayed with us at the Peace House for six weeks. She was so inspired by the way we worked together and with small groups that she sponsored our visit there and she arranged about 50 gatherings for us in 30 days! The call was so strong in Buenos Aires that I extended my stay for an additional month, to continue working with a small group in a devoted way. It was when I was returning to the U.S in November that I was told by the Spirit that Jason and I would be holding 'Devotional retreats'.

This is where our passion has been, joining with small groups for an extended time together, which allows trust to develop to a point where specific prompts can be revealed, as guidelines for mind-training. This was, of course, an extension of what we had been learning with the Holy Spirit, as we had just finished an assignment together where my specific prompt was 'not to teach' and to take more of a 'follower' role within our relationship. The amount of learning that occurred from this one prompt was phenomenal. I saw the extent of the 'unhealed healer' and the strong desire to join in false empathy - even in the most subtle of ways - that I could never have seen had I not been given the prompt to 'pull back from all teaching'. After many months of working with this prompt I reached a point where it no longer served - there wasn't a passion behind it, and I had washed away the egoic impulse to speak and teach, and I could have happily sat back and said nothing indefinitely while Jason did all of the talking. The feeling of peace and connection was just wonderful. And so it was time for the next prompt to come in, which was just as frightening to accept, and it was to 'teach' in a more formal way. Of course, to teach is to demonstrate, and so speaking or not speaking is not what it is really about - it is the following of the Spirits Guidance that is the teaching. When I struggled to follow, I shared what I was going through, which was a teaching of willingness, and when I followed His Guidance I radiated His peace.

But this next prompt was to accept a 'teaching role' with students. Rather than the old way of teaching, which involved planning, my training was not to plan in any way, but to trust completely that the Spirit would provide everything, that I would be told everything I needed to know, which was often nothing at all in advance. Even for a weekend retreat where I was 'the teacher' with about 20hours of sessions with the group, all I was to do was show up.

Little did I know that all of this trust-building and strengthening in the Spirit was preparing me for the next leap. Jason and I were Guided to plan for two Devotional retreats in the U.S. About one month before the first retreat, my visa extension was denied, which meant that I had to leave the country immediately. This was completely unexpected and so with David in Europe on a teaching tour, the four of us (Messengers of Peace) went into prayer together for a three days. I was Guided to share what was happening on our mailing list and was sent an invitation from Ireland, with an offer of a one way plane ticket and a 3 bedroom house to live in with the use of a car and internet. This felt like an immediate Yes and so I accepted the invitation and within two weeks was off to Ireland. Thank you Holy Spirit! I looked forward to a quiet time of prayer and meditation. I also looked forward to continuing to work on MMT, the online Mystical Mind Training Program which Jason and I had started developing during the previous month.

Having something so inspiring to keep working with, and a quiet place to work, pray and meditate, was absolutely perfect.
As it turned out, I was only to be alone for one month, as friends felt a strong call to come and have a 3 week Devotional retreat with me there, so they flew in from NZ, the U.S and Sweden. Our time together was such a gift.

There were many tears, much laughter and life-changing experiences of trust and connection. Before long there were invitations to hold gatherings in a couple of areas in Ireland, and by the time I left the country, new Course In Miracles groups were springing up in Cork, Tipperary and Galway.

After almost three months in Ireland I was able to return to the U.S to join Jason for the second Devotional retreat. We just held another Devotional retreat in Canada and it feels like this phase is over for us for a while.
We are feeling another shift now and are Guided to have shorter retreats and more unstructured time, as well as pouring our energy into the MMT Program, which we love working on.

So where does balance come in to all of this? Well if you consider balance to be 'right-mindedness' then following the Holy Spirits Guidance is the key to experiencing a stable state of mind. The only times through this past year that I felt 'out of balance' was when I was in fear, and I had forgotten the following prayer:

I am here only to be truly helpful.

I am here to represent Him Who sent me.

I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent
me will direct me.

I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.

I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.

Jason and I are now based in Australia, where we'll be for at least six months of the year for the next couple of years. We just arrived at the beginning of October, and are staying with friends in a beautiful spot in Kangaroo Valley between travels and retreats in NSW and Tilba this year. It is wonderful to be here and we are looking forward to seeing many old friends and meeting new friends in the coming weeks and months at the planned retreats and during spontaneous meet-ups!
